PLEASE READ ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN FULL.

You will need to sign a hard copy on your first lesson

Due to data protection I’ll ask for other information separately, either by text or email.

This agreement is made between The Pupil if over 18 or legal guardian if under 18 and Andy Akehurst (Swift Driver Training Eastbourne)

1. BEFORE YOUR FIRST LESSON

2. You must fill in the and send back the agreement form in full

3. You must agree to these terms and conditions.

4. Full lesson fee must be paid for the first lesson by bank transfer to ( Barclays Bank A J Akehurst Sort Code 20-27-91 Account Number 60633992)

5. Familiarise yourself with the Lesson Record Sheets (sent before first lesson)

6. LESSONS

7. The pupil must pass an eyesight test in able to drive, this will be checked on the first lesson and at random times during your course, details to be found on https://www.gov.uk/driving-eyesight-rules.

8. You should bring the licence to all lessons. Licence will be checked on your first lesson.

9. Pay for next lesson in advance either by cash (preferred) or bank transfer ( Barclays Bank A J Akehurst Sort Code 20-27-91 Account Number 60633992)

10. The pupil must have the right attitude to learn, please do not just think of your driving on your lessons.

11. Driving in-between lessons is encouraged, but please drive the way you have been learning.

12. If I (Andy Akehurst) suspect the pupil is under the influence of drink or drugs, the lesson and the course maybe terminated.

13. CANCELLATIONS

14. Any lesson cancelled with LESS THAN 24 hours or any lesson not turned up for, the advance lesson fee will be used. Then must be repaid before the next lesson. Any Cancellations must be given in text or email.

15. If the pupil is late for an agreed lesson or the pick up point is changed, the full price of agreed lesson will be charged.

16. If two or more lessons are missed without notice or lessons are cancelled on a regular basis, your course or regular lesson time maybe cancelled.

17. Please be prepared for your lesson, (read your lesson record sheets)

18. PRICES

19. I (Andy Akehurst) have the right to change the lesson prices with 7 days’ notice either in writing or verbally

20. TUITION CAR

21. I (Andy Akehurst) will hire the pupil a dual controlled car for the purpose of tuition.

22. I (Andy Akehurst) will hire to the pupil a dual controlled car for the purpose of taking the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Driving Test. (only if the pupil is up to the DVSA standard)

23. I (Andy Akehurst) reserve the right to change the tuition car without notice.

24. I (Andy Akehurst) I reserve the right to refuse the use of the tuition car to a pupil, for the purpose of tuition, or for the driving test ,if I feel the pupil is not up to the required standard.

25. I (Andy Akehurst) I will insure that the tuition car is maintained and insured to the required standards.

26. I (Andy Akehurst) will insure the pupil against accident injury and third party risks whilst using the tuition car.

27. I (Andy Akehurst) cannot be held responsible for any items left in the car during/after a lesson.

28. PRIORITY OF LESSONS

29. Priorities will be given to pupils that have their Practical Test booked.

30. Priorities will be given to pupils that have had the most lessons, and least cancellations.

31. Please note that Practical Tests can only be booked after the Theory Test has been passed, and that the test date is governed by the DVSA availability.

32. TESTS

33. The pupil is responsible for booking their own tests both Theory and Practical.

34. Make sure you are fully ready to take both tests.

35. If you would like dedicated lessons for the theory please ask

36. All modules on the driving record sheet must be completed to a test standard before the test can be taken

37. If all modules have not been completed to a test standard I have the right to refuse the use of the car for the test

38. It is Important to note that once a Practical Test has been booked, it is most important to keep the regular lessons going up to the test date, to give you maximum chance of passing.

39. If the you are not successful in passing your test, you must let me know if you can carry on with your regular lesson times, so that I know if I can sell that space to someone on a waiting list.

46. MOBILE PHONES

47. Mobile phones must be turned off or on silent during the lesson.

48. FIT TO DRIVE

49. If you are on medication that may affect your driving please tell me DO NOT DRIVE IF YOU ARE UNSURE

50. If you suspect you are not fit to drive for any reason, please let me know ASAP. Please give 24 hours notice if at all possible.

51. DAMAGES

52. If the car or anything else is damaged in anyway during a lesson, I have the right to ask for full or part payment of the damage from the pupil, if it is deemed that the pupil had not listened or taken instruction appropriately.

54. AGREEMENT

55. If you Agree to these Terms and Conditions Please press reply, and write “ I Agree to Terms and Conditions “TC41225” this means that you (the pupil if over 18) or  a legal Guardian agrees to these Terms and Conditions above.

    Data Protection

The personal information I have collected is essential for business. I try to keep information separate where possible.

Non essential information is deleted as and when no longer required (licence check information) Other information is deleted after your coarse has ended.

Contact information is kept on my phone/iPad in normal contact apps

Addresses are kept on lesson progress sheets

Payment records are kept on progress sheets
